Installation Instructions:
As Android phones do not support any other App Store except the Google Play Store, you need to able "Install Apps from Unknown Sources":
To allow installing apps from unknown sources on Android, the steps vary by Android version (critical note: Android 8.0+ requires per-app permission instead of a global toggle for better security). Here's a clear, version-by-version guide:
First: Check Your Android Version
1. Open Settings → Scroll to the bottom → Tap About phone/tablet → Look for "Android version" (e.g., 14, 12, 7.0).
1. Android 14, 13, 12
These versions let you grant permission only to specific apps (e.g., Chrome, Files app) that will download/install APKs:
1. Open Settings → Tap Apps.
2. Select Special app access → Tap Install unknown apps.
3. Choose the app you’ll use to download APKs (e.g., "Chrome").
4. Toggle on Allow from this source.
2. Android 11
Similar to 12–14, but with a slight menu tweak:
1. Open Settings → Tap Apps & notifications.
2. Tap Advanced → Select Special app access → Tap Install unknown apps.
3. Choose the app (e.g., Chrome) → Toggle on Allow from this source.
3. Android 10, 9 (Pie), 8 (Oreo)
Same per-app logic as newer versions, with minor menu labels:
1. Open Settings → Tap Apps & notifications.
2. Tap Advanced → Select Special app access → Tap Install unknown apps.
3. Choose the app → Toggle on Allow from this source.
4. Android 7 (Nougat) and Earlier
These versions use a global toggle (less secure, as it allows all apps to install APKs):
1. Open Settings → Tap Security (or "Lock screen and security").
2. Find and toggle on Unknown sources.
3. Confirm the warning prompt by tapping OK.
For Samsung Devices (All Versions)
Samsung may have slightly different menu names:
• Newer models (Android 8+): Settings → Biometrics and Security → Install unknown apps → Choose the app → Toggle on Allow from this source.
• Older models: Settings → Security → Toggle on Unknown sources.
